A game made for the "30-Day RPG- Maker-Themed Game Jam #11" (2023), hosted by Beregon.

The theme was "Between Two Worlds", and the bonus challenges were:

"Not Who They Seem",  "Door To Another World", and "The Prophecy".

This game needs about 4-5 hours to complete. I have reworked it after the jam: there are now two branches (replayability!).  At some point, you can choose between two parties as companions: every party has the same goal but completely different adventures. There are different ends, depending on your choices.

Synopsis:

Martin is a soldier who fought in the civil war that devastated the Southern Kingdom. Tired after losing everything, he fled to the North to seek peace and build a new life. But when he arrived in the town of Hammersford, he was involved in a new dispute, this time between Nomads and Sedentary, for the rights to water and pastures. You play as Martin, and with your party's help, you are trying to avoid another civil war and end a terrible drought that plagues your new country.

"A Song of Woods and Stone" plays in the same world as "Moonstone Deep" and "Benjamin of Blackstone Edge" but 50 years earlier.

Have fun!

DEMO !!

You can play the first hour of the game for free!

If the resolution on your screen is too small, try this (Windows 10): Start the game, press F1 and select "Launch in Full Screen", then leave the game and shut down. Restart the game, and it should change to full screen. It's an old program, and setting your own resolution is not possible, sorry. I hope this works for you.

Is the sequel for Moonstone Deep and Benjamin of Blackstone Edge still in the plans?

Yes. But there is no release date yet. In the meantime, enjoy Martin's adventure; the first hour of play is free (demo).

Is there any romance in said game or optional companions with cool backstories/personalities?

Romance, no. Cool companions, yes. When the moment comes to choose your party, you will have some very intriguing people to choose from. And the world is still Ryan's, although 50 years before his time. Try the demo, and you will soon see if it is a game for you.
